Born in 1972 and 1973, respectively, Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings are internationally successful designers. The duo founded their studio in 2000, where they collaborated with many iconic brands, including Artifort, Ikea, Hay, Moroso, Herman Miller, and Samsung. They are very respected in the design realm and have many awards to their name. Eye-catching yet practical, their designs are made with incredible attention to detail and use a playful amount of geometry.
Scholten and Baijings products are must-haves. For Artifort, they created a curved, ergonomically supportive chair with intricate stitching. To further show their immense talent, their vision has been documented in design books and articles to help the next generation of artists and manufacturers. Today, the two are working separately.
