The Nubo Boiserie Bed by Bonaldo features an understated architectural profile that merges Italian craftsmanship with luxurious elegance. Manufactured in Italy and designed by Massimo Castagna, the Nubo Boiserie Bed is a sophisticated bed system elevates the sleeping experience with its vertically tufted lines and highly customizable details. Available in both king and queen sizes, the Nubo Boiserie Bed features an extended headboard that adds visual depth and a sense of enclosure without overwhelming the space and at the same time creates a feeling of substantiality that’s innate for lux master bedroom suites. The internal structure is made from shaped wood, while the headboard and bedframe are padded with shaped polyurethane foam, ensuring both durability and exceptional comfort. The lining combines velveteen with polyester fibre, enhancing softness and resilience.
Nubo Boiserie Bed could be upholstered in a wide array of fabrics, leathers, and eco-leathers allowing for complete personalization, with removable covers for fabric and eco-leather versions (leather covers are non-removable). The Nubo Boiserie Bed sits on matte black metal feet, offering a clean, modern finish while the bed base is available in two different heights, allowing for flexibility in design and mattress preferences.
A defining feature of this system is the optional Nubo Boiserie, an upholstered, wall-mounted panel that adds a dramatic, tailored backdrop to the bed. Made from a wood conglomerate panel with polyester fibre filling, the boiserie is offered in three sizes and can be upholstered in the same fabric, leather, or eco-leather options as the bed for a cohesive and luxurious aesthetic.
Designed by
Massimo Castagna is a successful architect and designer who is globally respected. As a graduate of the Milan Politecnico in 1984, he learned to hone his craft and has gained a stellar reputation. His long, sustainable career includes architecture projects in the residential and commercial space, interior design, and product design in the furniture sector. Collaborations include various Italian companies, such as Tonelli, Flou, Acerbis, Rossana, and more.
His furniture and decor pieces are sleek and geometrically inspired. Many products are sculptural and artistic and make a grand impression in modern settings. In addition to being an architect and designer, Castagna also does consultancy and art direction.
