Gianluca Regazzo, a multidisciplinary designer from the province of Venice, grounds his vision in his family’s tradition of artisanal leather craftsmanship, a heritage of expertise that has nurtured his sensitivity to materials and detail since childhood. This inclination has evolved into a sophisticated research path, which took shape through his studies in Fashion Design at the Università Iuav di Venezia, where he explored the intersection of high craftsmanship and advanced technologies, defining an aesthetic language balanced between heritage and innovation. Among his most significant collaborations is his work with the historic Orsoni Venezia 1888 furnace, which led to the creation of the first garment made of Venetian mosaic enamels, a testament to his experimental approach that embodies the dialogue between tradition and innovation. A pivotal moment in his journey was the presentation of his project “La Mémoire” at the prestigious Wolfsonian-FIU Museum in Miami Beach during Art Basel Miami 2021, as part of the “Miami & Venezia City Friendship Agreement”. In 2022, Regazzo was a finalist for the “Kia Designers Award”, promoted by the Italian National Chamber of Fashion (CNMI) and Kia Italia, a recognition that led him to showcase his design vision at the ADI Design Museum during Milan Fashion Week. In recent years, his work has been defined by a continuous exploration of the expressive potential of design, intertwining tradition and experimentation in a research journey open to new perspectives.
