Supernova Suspension Light
The Supernova suspension light is a blissful depiction of true innovation and hi-tech manufacturing. Aptly named, the light resembles a brilliant twinkling star in the sky, and the seven pairs of discs that make up the sphere come together to make an eye-catching finishing product. The bright light offers diffused illumination cast outward for an ambient effect.
Designed by Ferruccio Laviani for Foscarini and manufactured in Italy, the Supernova suspension light is a highly sculptural, structural lighting element that is destined to become the centerpiece of its modern surroundings. Supernova suspension light is made of natural or lacquered aluminum and is available in aluminum or fuchsia colors respectively.

Ferruccio Laviani is an architect and designer that specializes in both furniture and fashion, working with diverse companies. Because of his immense talents, he is sought after around the world, and he also designs showrooms for added appeal. Laviani is also in charge of artistic direction, communication, setting up exhibitions and events, always with a highly contemporary and recognizable style
As if Laviani wasn't busy enough, he made his debut into the lighting industry with Orbital sculpture-lamp for Foscarini, a brilliant and famous design, along with the matching wall lamp version, called Bit. The term sculpture-lamp describes a lot of his eye-catching and revolutionary designs that fit in well in a modern setting.
