Designed by Alberto Meda and Paolo Rizzatto and made in Italy, the Upper Step Ladder features a chrome-plated steel frame for durability, while its steps are made from transparent polycarbonate in smoke and amber colors, making it easy to blend into a garage, mudroom, or utility room.  For added convenience, the ladder can be wall-mounted when not in use, ensuring both easy storage and accessibility.

Alberto Meda

Born in 1945 in Tremezzina, Alberto Meda is an award-winning architect and designer who has a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Milan Polytechnic. In 1973, he was the technical manager at Kartell, a prestigious modern furniture company. As the technical manager, he was in charge of the development of furniture projects and plastic laboratory equipment. After six years of that, he decided to become a freelance designer and created iconic furniture pieces in collaboration with various prominent brands.

Meda's work is one-of-a-kind, using a combination of eye-catching aesthetics and practicality. His pieces are on display in museums and exhibitions around the world. In addition to designing, he also teaches in different universities to help up and coming architecture/design students.

Paolo Rizzatto
Paolo Rizzatto

Paolo Rizzatto, a brilliant and accomplished Italian designer, has made quite the name for himself, not just in Italy but around the globe. Rizzotto earned his degree in Architecture from Milan Polytechnic in 1965 and founded Luceplan, a modern lighting company, with Riccardo Sarfatti and Sandra Severi in 1978. Because his quality work speaks for itself, Rizzatto has worked with many prominent design studios, including Alias, Arteluce, Artemide, Cassina, Danese, Driade, Fiam Italia, and many more.

Rizzatto is an industrial designer, interior designer, and architect, and he excels in every field. He focuses on light fixtures that look incredible in a modern home. Beautiful and innovative, some of Rizzatto's designs are on display at various museums around the world and are featured in an array of design publications.
