The Lea sofa, designed by Paolo Vernier, president of Midj, showcases an unmistakable blend of elegance and refinement. The two-seat Lea sofa, supported by a four-legged metal base, is crafted in Italy to guarantee superior quality. The seat and back are upholstered in fabric, eco-leather, or leather. With its refined simplicity, Lea captivates with its fluid lines that shape its form and volume. The sofa offers both comfort and warmth, thanks to foam padding, and the wide array of customization options allows for countless combinations, from subtle tone-on-tone to striking contrasts.
Designed by
The designer Paolo Lomazzi was born in Milan in 1936 and studied at the city's Polytechnic where he met Gionatan De Pas and Donato D'Urbino. In 1969 the trio founded the design office DDL, which remains famous for the inflatable chair Blow for Zanotta, one of several unconventional seating designs by DDL.
For Zanotta, Lomazzi, De Pas, and D'Urbino also designed the wardrobe Sciangai, reminiscent of the game Mikados. In addition, the trio cooperated with manufacturers such as Alessi, Artemide or Cassina. Following Gionatan De Pas's death in 1991, the trio has been a duo: the legacy of the trio and their contribution to pop culture and furniture design history remains intact.
