Pippi Coat Rack
The Pippi Coat Rack from MIDJ offers a colorful, modern twist on contemporary furniture. Designed by Roberto Paoli, this coat rack is part of the Pippi collection, combining innovation with practicality. Its unique structure features three curved metal tubes, all wrapped in a single layer of slightly padded bielastic fabric that fits the rack perfectly.
With a wide selection of colors for both the fabric and the metal feet, the rack is highly customizable and versatile. The rack makes the perfect compliment to the rest of the Pippi coillection of seating furniture. The entire Pippi collection earned the prestigious Good Design Award in 2019, recognizing it as one of the top furniture designs worldwide. In 2021, it also received a German Design Award.
Designed by
Born in Ancona, Roberto Paoli received his degree in Architecture at the University of Florence in 1994. After graduating, he devoted himself to his passion for designing objects, so he went back to his birthplace to receive proper training. Paoli experimented with various design techniques over these years, like plastic injection molding, and manipulating the shape of glass.
Paoli got his big break when he started working with iconic Italian brands such as Fellowes, Fiam Italia, and Liv'it. These collaborations helped him tremendously in his career and gave him his design philosophy: that design and technology have to work together to form functional products that help people in their day to day lives.
