Raised in Stockholm, Tollgard went to school at the Inchbald School of Design, where he honed his craft as an artisan and designer. Today, he is the creative director at his studio, Tollgard Design Group, which specializes in refurbishing furniture, interior design, and product design. He is influenced by Scandinavian and Asian functionalism and likes to have a central idea or item to represent each product and project.
