The Soft Glass Sectional Sofa with Chaise redefines the living space with its generously upholstered, softly contoured volumes and modular versatility. Designed by Massimo Castagna for Tonelli and expertly crafted in Italy, this seating system allows for original, dynamic, and relaxed compositions. Whether arranged for a bold statement or a more understated aesthetic, the sofa’s form always exudes visual lightness, thanks to its elegant base of stratified glass supporting a wooden platform. Offered in various fabric upholsteries and made in left or right facing configurations, this sectional is easily customizable to fit personal aesthetic as well as spacial needs.
Distinguished by sophisticated, high-quality fabrics and precise tailoring, the Soft Glass sectional is both innovative and refined. The supporting structure is crafted from blockboard set atop ¾" thick glued stratified glass, available in extra clear, smoked, or bronze finishes, creating a floating effect. Seating, backrests, and armrests are padded with differentiated-density polyurethane foam, topped with a soft acrylic fiber mat and protective fabric. Removable fabric covers with visible double stitching complete this contemporary masterpiece with a touch of artisanal craftsmanship.

Massimo Castagna is a successful architect and designer who is globally respected. As a graduate of the Milan Politecnico in 1984, he learned to hone his craft and has gained a stellar reputation. His long, sustainable career includes architecture projects in the residential and commercial space, interior design, and product design in the furniture sector. Collaborations include various Italian companies, such as Tonelli, Flou, Acerbis, Rossana, and more.
His furniture and decor pieces are sleek and geometrically inspired. Many products are sculptural and artistic and make a grand impression in modern settings. In addition to being an architect and designer, Castagna also does consultancy and art direction.
