Anna Castelli Ferrieri is a vital part of history, becoming the first woman to graduate from the iconic Milan Polytechnic. She was part of an influential generation of designers who transformed the field of architecture and design with new ideas, new materials, and new experimental technologies. Castelli Ferrieri preferred to use plastic in her products, which motivated her and her husband to open Kartell, a prestigious furniture company that is known for their durable items.

Her products are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. She creates geometrically inspired furniture pieces, most that are suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Anna Castelli Ferrieri is now the art director of the company, while still experimenting with new ideas.
